Hosein Garousi added: “East-West International Transport Corridor” has the capacity to create a framework for a powerful communication network from China to the Baltic and Scandinavian countries, and the geographic location of Maku Free Zone as the crossroad-land in this route plays the role of Chinese “Belt and Road Initiative” project.
He pointed out to China’s BRI project, which connects the East to the West, and added: due to its unique geographical location, Maku Free Zone is the most value-added point for creating a logistics village and becoming a hub for attracting and distributing goods through connectivity due to east-west and north-south corridors.
Garousi added: In order to establish smart logistics for the purpose of globalization, a contract has been signed between the country’s free zones and the Maku Free Zone Organization with the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, for the first time.
Hosein Garousi stated that the investment infrastructure of Maku Free Zone is an exceptional situation, and added: the infrastructure in this area is also ready for investment in the data center sector.
In these meetings, Chinese economic activists and investors also emphasized economic and industrial cooperation while welcoming investment opportunities in Maku Free Zone.
