In order to expand cross-border trade and attract foreign investors, the CEO of Maku Free Zone Organization met Nasser Mohabbati, the Consul General of Iran in Trabzon, Turkey.
In this meeting, Hosein Garousi, while explaining the investment opportunities to Turkish investors, said: Maku Free Zone can play the most important role in achieving a trade of 30 billion dollars with Turkey.
Stating that improving international relations in the Government of National Accord, especially with regional countries, is on the agenda, he added: The goal is attracting investors and businessmen to be more willing to appear in Iran and invest in free zones.
Garousi noted: By using the capacity created in attracting foreign investors, we are trying to benefit from every opportunity to achieve this goal.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Maku Free Zone Organization stated: “We welcome the presence of Turkish businessmen and traders in Maku, and the exchanges between the two countries will increase by introducing the potentials of the parties, especially in trade and investment.”
Stating that the economic diplomacy of Maku Free Zone Organization is active in improving the level of international trade and attracting foreign capital, he said: “The connection of the Iranian railway to Turkey via Maku Free Zone and the launch of a joint border market, as an international exchange center, are in progress.
