On the sidelines of this visit, the Economic and Investment Deputy of Maku Free Zone Organization said to the reporter of Maku Free Zone news site: The visit of Mohammad Hasan Habibullahzadeh, Assistant Minister and Director General of the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to expand interactions between the Maku Free Zone Organization and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to examine the issues of setting up the Sari Su border market, to follow up on the establishment of a joint free zone between Iran and Turkey, as well as resolving Bazergan customs’ problems and speeding up the transit and traffic from this border.

During the visit of the Director General of the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Maku Free Zone, the necessary infrastructure to set up the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to provide services to foreign investors in this region will be studied and preparations for the opening of the office will be conducted.
