According to Maku Free Zone news site, the high presence of economic activists and investors, meetings of CEOs of free and special economic zones organizations, and talks regarding the exchange of information in order to introduce investment capacities in the second exhibition by introducing investment packages and export capabilities of free zones, created an opportunity to explain the position of these zones, especially Maku Free Zone, in the growth and development of the national and regional economy.
CEO of Maku Free Zone Organization, Hosein Garousi said: We attended from the westernmost free zone of the country in the easternmost province of Islamic Iran to explain the investment opportunities of Maku to the economic activists of Mashhad, and to announce that considering the unique geographical location of this region, Maku is the most value-added point for creating a logistics village and becoming a hub for attracting and distributing goods by connecting east-west and north-south corridors.
Hosein Garousi added: The international corridor of Maku Free Zone and the Bazergan border is a highly economical route for transporting goods and people to Europe and from the border of Poldasht to the countries of the Caucasus.
Maku free zone holds an exceptional position in the transportation and transit of goods due to the connection to the markets of Europe and Central Asia (from the north to the Republic of Turkey, from the east to the Aras Blue border to the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan), the communication highway for the transit of goods from the countries of Central Asia and Europe (the most important indicator of global trade), adjacent to Armenia and the Caucasus region and the bottleneck of the North-South land corridor (the rival of the Suez Canal) and the connecting point of Asia and Europe, carrying out major exchanges, he added.
On the second day of the exhibition, the CEO of Maku Free Zone Organization, in addition to meeting domestic investors, met and talked with Afghan economic activists.
