The Iraqi university delegation announced their readiness for joint cooperation in scientific, pharmaceutical, health tourism, etc.
On the sidelines of this trip, the Chancellor of Iraq’s Wasit University met with Hosein Garousi, stating that this region, as the largest free zone in the Middle East and the second free zone in the world, has unique capacities to carry out joint scientific, research, medical and pharmaceutical cooperation, agriculture, mining and economy, said: The purpose of this trip is to sign a memorandum of understanding on investment partnership and launch joint technology companies to be established in the Knowledge-Based Industries Parks of Maku Free Zone.
Dr. Mazen Hassan Jassim al-Hasani, Chancellor of University, while thanking the CEO of Maku Free Zone Organization for warm reception, said: In order to start academic cooperation between Iraq and Iran, we are ready to accept 20 Iranian students for free to study at Wasit University of the Republic of Iraq.
Dr. Mazen al-Hasani stated that Wasit University has the fourth scientific rank among Iraqi universities and said: Currently, Wasit University has 35,000 students, 15 faculties, 600 faculty members, 13 journals and 60 scientific departments.
